‎619 Barber Shop, with the help of Dax and other contributors, held an event on August 29th, 2011 at the Jacob’s Center in San Diego for 75 inner city boys. The barbers of 619 Barber Shop volunteered 10 hours of their free time to improve the self-esteem, boost the confidence, and improve the image of children and adolescence in the underserved, low-income areas of San Diego County. The young men learned hair and skin care tips to help improve their hygiene and their personal appearance. Dax and the other companies who helped contribute to the event provided samples of hair care and hygiene products for the boys to take home. .
